Transition Guide
Switch to Timberwolf the right way.
A gradual 7-day transition lets your dog's or cat's digestive system adjust to the higher protein and nutrient density of Timberwolf recipes.
Days 1–2
25% Timberwolf / 75% current food.
Days 3–4
50% Timberwolf / 50% current food.
Days 5–7
75% Timberwolf, then 100% by day 7.
Slow the transition.
Timberwolf is more nutrient-dense than most commodity foods. A small percentage of dogs and cats benefit from a 10–14 day transition instead of 7. If you see loose stools, hold the current ratio for an extra 2–3 days before increasing the Timberwolf percentage.
Add a tablespoon of plain canned pumpkin to firm stools while transitioning. Most pets settle in within 7–10 days.
Real food, real smell.
Some dogs that have eaten the same flavor-sprayed kibble for years take a few days to engage with Timberwolf's stronger aroma. Try warming the kibble slightly, or add a spoonful of warm water to bring out the scent. Most picky eaters come around within the first week.
What people who feed Timberwolf say.
"We tell every new customer to do the 7-day transition. It's the difference between a smooth switch and a week of stomach issues."
