Timberwolf Feeding Guide
How much to feed. How often. How long.
Use this guide as a starting point for daily Timberwolf feeding. Adjust based on body condition, activity level, age, and life stage.

Adult dogs on Timberwolf.
Premium high-protein kibble is calorie-dense. Most pets eat less per cup than commodity foods. Use these ranges as a baseline:
- Small (10–20 lb): 1 to 1¼ cups per day
- Medium (20–40 lb): 1¼ to 2 cups per day
- Large (40–70 lb): 2 to 3 cups per day
- Giant (70–110 lb): 3 to 4½ cups per day
- Highly active or working: Add ½ to 1 cup
- Senior or less active: Reduce by ¼ to ½ cup
Twice a day works for most dogs.
Split the daily ration into two meals (morning and evening). This supports steady energy, reduces bloat risk in deep-chested breeds, and creates a feeding rhythm dogs respond to.
Puppies under 6 months typically eat 3 meals a day. Working dogs and high-energy breeds may benefit from a third small meal post-exercise.
Adjust by what you see and feel.
The cup ranges above are a starting point. The real measure is body condition. Check weekly:
- Ribs: easy to feel with a light hand, not visibly prominent
- Waist: visible from above, tucked from the side
- Energy: steady through the day, not crashing mid-afternoon
- Coat: dense, soft, no flaking or dryness within 4–6 weeks
- Stool: firm and consistent — a sign the gut is processing the food well
